We aim to exploit fundamental light-material interactions and utilize them to design, fabricate and integrate novel photonic materials, structures, devices and systems for advanced optical neural interfaces.
Our recent works include:
- Biocompatible and degradable waveguides for medical implants
- Microscale LEDs and photodetectors for wireless optogenetic stimulation and fluorescence sensing
- Optoelectronic upconversion devices for implantable light sources
