Graduate Life

The Biomedical Engineering Extramural Development in Graduate Education, or BME Edge, is a student-run organization dedicated to providing professional development opportunities for BME PhD students. It provides students a glimpse of life post-graduation, and prepares them to excel in their careers upon receiving their degrees. Building a solid connection with alumni, industries, governmental agencies, start-ups, and other academic labs is at the core of the BME EDGE function.

The BME PhD student council works to provide current and prospective students with helpful information on courses, internships, student life, and more. The PhD council also hosts regular social events for students and faculty to mingle and network.
