Research Interests
Wu Ji is the director of the Multimedia Signal and Intelligent Information Processing Lab (MSIIP). Since 2013, a lot of research work has been done in the field of smart healthcare, such as oral removable partial denture, oral X-ray root tip, maxillofacial tumor neck diffusion nondestructive testing, breast cancer detection and so on. In 2017, the Smart Medical Assistant, a medical examination robot jointly developed by Tsinghua University and iFLYTEK, became the first artificial intelligence robot passing the comprehensive written examination for the national medical practitioner qualification in China and even the world with an excellent score exceeding the qualification line by 96 marks. The robot fully demonstrates the important progress made by the MSIIP Lab in knowledge representation and knowledge reasoning.
