Soumya Acharya wins Olympus Innovation Award

On March 25 2011, during the NCIIA Open Minds conference, CBID Graduate Program Director, Dr. Soumya Acharya won the Olympus Emerging Educational Leader Award, sponsored by Olympus and the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA)
This award recognizes individuals who have fostered or demonstrated innovative thinking in education. Dr. Acharya has been the chief architect of the MSE program in Bioengineering Innovation and Design here at Hopkins including the recently launched global health innovation program (please link the text in red to our global health page).
