Seven from Hopkins BME receive Provost Undergraduate Research Awards

Seven undergraduate students studying biomedical engineering received the Provost Undergraduate Research Award (PURA) to assist with independent research, scholarly and creative projects over the summer.

This year’s recipients from BME include:

Ritvik Pulya –Regeneration of Retinal Neurons from Mouse Müller Glia by Suppression of Rbpj-Mediated Notch Signaling

Sampath Rapuri –Development and External Validation of a Machine Learning Model for Pulmonary Embolism Prediction in Intensive Care

Erick Rocher – Engineering Novel Branched Polymeric Nanoparticles for High-Efficiency Gene Delivery

Xingyu “Brian” Zhou – Use of Whole-Brain Synaptic-Resolution Light-Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy for Analysis of Differential AMPA Receptor Expression in SynGAP Knock-Out Mice
