BME postdoc Rege has paper selected for journal cover

Abhishek Rege, a postdoctoral fellow in the Neuroengineering Laboratory of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins has had his paper “In vivo laser speckle contrast imaging reveals microvascular remodeling and hemodynamic changes during wound healing angiogenesis” selected to appear on the cover of the March issue of the journal Angiogenesis.

His research on using laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) for imaging microvasculature was carried out under the mentorship of Dr. Nitish Thakor (BME) and Dr. Arvind Pathak (Radiology). It was also the recipient of a 3rd place Student Paper Prize at the 2010 meeting of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, as well as a 2nd place Poster Award at the 2009 Inter Institute Workshop on Optical and Biophotonic Methods.
