Research Interests

My research interest is on quantitative physiological imaging using MRI. Different from most MR imaging methods that target structural information, my research focuses on the development of MR imaging methods to quantitatively characterize physiological and pathophysiological processes of human diseases in vivo. My work has led to multiple technological innovations, including MR imaging sequence design, image reconstruction, image post-processing, and physiological modeling, which allow physicians to noninvasively characterize the pathobiology of human diseases and monitor progression and/or regression with high accuracy and reliability. Then, by providing whole clinical MR solutions and carrying out translational clinical research, my research goal is to finally improve the prevention, diagnosis, clinical treatment route, and prognosis of diseases, especially in cardiovascular and liver diseases.

In total, I have published 40 SCI cited papers, of which 28 papers were published in the recent five years. According to Google Scholar, I have 502 total citations and an H-index of 14. My group has not only published over 10 technical papers in top journals in MRI: MRM, but also several papers in top clinical journals, such as Radiology, Stroke, Atherosclerosis, etc. I have also presented over 80 ISMRM or AHA abstracts, of which over 70 were in the recent 5 years. Currently, I am a committee member of the RSNA Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA) Perfusion Diffusion Function MRI (PDF-MRI) Technical Committee, a committee member of the Chinese Stroke Association: Chinese Society of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism, and a young committee member of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering: Chinese Society of Medical Physics. I am also a member of ISMRM, SMRA and SCMR. I have been invited as the session moderator in ISMRM. I have been regularly reviewing manuscripts and international meetings, including Stroke, European Radiology, Medical Physics, Annual meeting of ISMRM, IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, et al.
