The research in my laboratory is focused on medical image processing/analysis, rigid and non-rigid registrations, and image-based interventions. We use modeling and simulation technique to extract the three dimensional (3D) model of anatomical structure and analyze the feature of the 3D images. Based on the 3D models constructed from medical images, kinematics and dynamics analysis and motion tracking, several techniques were developed to help the doctor and surgeon to perform more precise detection and plan the treatment in neurosurgery and orthopedics practice.
