Faculty HighlightsJanuary 26, 2009 Popel honored with Landis AwardAleksander S. Popel, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been selected to receive the 2009 Eugene M. Landis Research Award from the Microcirculatory Society. This annual award was established in 1969 to recognize an outstanding investigator in the field of Microcirculation. The award will be presented at the Experimental Biology 2009 meeting in New Orleans in April, where Dr. Popel has been invited to present a lecture summarizing his professional and research career activities.
