Dr. Robert Allen and his team of students earn 2nd place in the inaugural BMEidea competition

Dr. Robert Allen and his team are one of 3 top prize winners in the inaugural BME-IDEA competition for "Measuring Bioimpedance in the Human Uterine Cervix: Towards Early Detection of Preterm Labor". The winners are publicly announced on June 14 at the MDM Trade Show in New York. The NCIIA (National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance) brought one member of the team, Ashkon Shaahinfar, to New York to attend the awards ceremony. Their discovery was also published in MD&DI, a Canon Communications LLC publication.
