Dexter Smith, Associate Dean for the Engineering for Professionals, and Dr. Nitish Thakor, Professor of Biomedical Engineering Dr. Nitish Thakor, professor of biomedical engineering, has been selected as one of four recipients of the 2011 Engineering for Professionals Excellence in Teaching Award. The selection was based on Dr. Thakor's consistently outstanding performance in the classroom, as rated by School of Engineering leaders and student evaluations. The Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals programs, which provide working engineers with relevant graduate-level education, are the largest of their kind in the country. Posted: April 5, 2011
