Baltimore and Surrounding Areas

In Baltimore and Surrounding Area -Lots to do
Baltimore has a population of about 675,000 but in the surrounding area there are about 3 million people. It is a major Atlantic port with a maritime history that goes back to the seventeenth century and by land is less than an hour from Washington, D.C., two hours from Philadelphia and a little more than three hours from New York City.

Beyond the city is the Chesapeake Bay and the Eastern Shore and to the west the mountains of western Maryland.
