The Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Institute is not merely a great place to study and learn, it is also a great place to work and learn. The intellectually stimulating environment and the nurturing spirit of collegiality that extends throughout the Institute attracts stellar candidates to our postdoctoral, research, tenured and tenure-track positions.

Approximately half of our graduates go into teaching or research, twenty percent practice medicine, and another twenty percent go on to research and development areas of industry. To that end we maintain an Industrial Liaison Office to foster greater interaction between our biomedical engineering program and industry. We believe some of the most exciting opportunities of the future will result from this collaboration.
