Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Institute at Johns Hopkins University

Academics

The Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Institute was founded as a true synthesis of biology, medicine and engineering. Our programs span four University divisions - the Schools of Medicine, Engineering, Arts and Sciences, and the Applied Physics Laboratory. Students take courses in all divisions, and participate in fundamental research projects as well as more applied, clinical projects.

The state-of-the-art laboratories, sophisticated equipment, and stellar faculty members have attracted some of the very best students from around the world. Many of our students have gone on to significant positions in medicine, academia and industry.

How would you like to apply your talents? How can we help you get there?
